Camphoraceous & Herbaceous Essential Oils

Camphoraceous & Herbaceous Essential Oils are both oils that should be in your basic home care kit. Also, if you travel make sure it include it in your basic travel kit. These are oils that are used the most for.abdominal pain,abrasions,bruises, burns,coughs, colds, fever, headaches, heartburn, sinusitis and much more. As, you will learn they will become an important part of your daily life. Also, it will help to keep you and your family healthier.

The Camphoraceous family of oils is the essential oils that are clear, clean and purifying. They are also known to be excellent for your respiratory system. The Herbaceous family of oils are the green, earthy scents extracted from herbs.

PEPPERMINT ESSENTIAL OIL
This essential oil is definitely the go to oil for a headache. All I have to do is smell it straight out of the bottle or just wave it around in front of me. Another great use if for around the windows and door sills. It chases away spiders and insects. Then you can use this oil after using pain oils as it is a warming oil. This will help to push the pain oils further in and get them working faster. While this oil is one of my favorites it reminds me of the holidays. It smells exactly like the peppermint candy canes. While this oil that puts a smile on your face reliving those childhood memories its will definitely get you up and moving.

It is a natural appetite suppressant and is a fantastic oil for using in the diffuser.  You also find it definitely opens up your sinus’. This is a great oil for your circulation and digestive and respiratory problems. Peppermint oil is a great  for oral health. It is an anti inflammatory oil and is great for varicose veins. This is a great oil for hand soaps, candle making and it blends well in the diffuser with a lot of different essential oils. It also disinfects I add a few drops to my dishwater and laundry.

EUCALYPTUS ESSENTIAL OIL
When it comes to eucalyptus oil it is one of my favorite essential oils to use in bath salts.  It makes lounging in the bath tub in the evenings relaxing. Another great benefit is it really opens up your sinus’. Eucalyptus oil is energizing oil. But also gives you a sense of calm.

Eucalyptus oil is great in homemade air fresheners. It also works great for people with dandruff. Another great home aid for allergies and colds. It also gets rid of unwanted insects. When you feel a cold coming on you can put a few drops in your diffuser and wake up feeling great.

It is used in natural home care products, hand sanitizers and soaps, air fresheners, odor removers, it is great for cleaning spots and stains on carpets and fabrics. This essential oil is great for respiratory problems and wound treatments. Eucalyptus oil works great in hand and body lotions, hand sanitizer, shampoo, in the diffuser, candles, air fresheners and bath salts.

ROSEMARY ESSENTIAL OIL
This essential oil is great for memory. If you know someone studying for a test and they really need to retain the information Rosemary oil will help.  They can smell this essential oil or put it in a diffuser. This is a great oil for your hair and scalp. It is great for a healthy digestion and respiratory function.

Rosemary oil is great for nerve growth, muscle aches and pains, your skin, gallbladder function and liver detoxing. It is great for reducing stress. Also, studies show it can heal neuropathy and neuralgia. It is also good for cellulite, eczema and psoriasis. This essential oil is good to use in air freshener,shampoos, conditioner, body lotions, and soap and sanitizers,soaps, candles and is great in the diffuser.

TEA TREE ESSENTIAL OIL….also known as MELALEUCA ESSENTIAL OIL
This essential oil to me is mostly known for clean skin and a clean home. It is widely known to kill bacteria, viruses and fungi. Tea tree oil uses are numerous: making homemade cleaning products, diffusing it in the air to kill mold, applying it topically to heal skin issues and using it to treat viral infections. It is great for congestion and respiratory tract infections, cold sores, halitosis, MRSA, psoriasis, dry cuticles, toenail fungus, athletes foot, Itchy insect bites, sores and sunburns, It is great in the laundry, Insect repellants, deodorant, acne face wash, foot odor, mold, household cleaners. 

Camphoraceous & Herbaceous Essential Oils have been added to products we have been using for years. Though, the oils we find in store bought products may not be a pure as the essential oils that we buy. Making our own products gives us the a sense of peace knowing that we are providing our family with the highest of quality oils.

Recipes Using Camphoraceous & Herbaceous Essential Oils:

Homemade Melaleuca Lemon Household Cleaner

8 oz water
4 oz distilled white vinegar
15 drops tea tree oil
15 drops lemon
Glass Cleaning Spray bottle

Fill spray bottle with ingredients. Close bottle and shake to mix. Swirl/shake bottle before each spray.

Homemade Mouthwash

5 drops peppermint essential oil
5 drops tea tree essential oil
2 cups spring water
BPA free plastic dispenser bottles

Pour all ingredients into a bottle. Shake to mix.
Take a small sip, swish mixture around in your mouth, gargle for 30 seconds and spit out. Do not swallow.

 

DIY Eucalyptus Bath Salt Recipe

4 Cups of Epsom Salts
2 Cups of Baking Soda
15-20 Drops of Eucalyptus Essential Oils

Mix everything well and store in air tight glass containers.

When ready to use, Mix 1 cup into a warm bath and soak for at least 20 minutes.

 

Homemade Vapor Rub

Use  ¼ cup olive oil and 1/4 cup grated bees wax
½ cup coconut oil
20 drops peppermint essential oil
20 drops eucalyptus essential oil
Glass jar

Pour the olive oil, coconut oil and beeswax into a jar.
Place a saucepan with 2 inches of water over medium low heat.
Place jar in saucepan and allow oils to melt. Stir to combine.
Once combined, allow to cool slightly and add in essential oils.
Pour mixture into metal tins or storage containers and allow to set.
