Pure Body Naturals Peppermint Oil

Essential oils offer so many wonderful results, that it is no wonder why more and more people are using them these days. They have such a wide array of uses, that it makes it more cost effective for the buyer in the long term.

Peppermint oil has many positive uses both for around the house as well as for your body. I am a constant migraine sufferer and use peppermint oil on my temples. It helps a lot. I also will smell it too as it is aromatic. This oil has also proven to help with digestion, asthma, and heartburn and much more. It is no wonder why it’s popularity has risen recently. Many people would rather use a natural oil than put man made chemicals into their bodies.

Mice and Spiders seem to be a problem in many households. This leaves homeowners reaching for harmful chemicals that could potentially harm their children and pets. Many homeowners refuse to take this route and will eventually be over run with these pests due to their own misconception of choices that are available. I myself live in an older farmhouse in the country. Our house gets seasonal mice and is often over run with those pesky spiders. With five children in my home, I refused to use anything that may potentially harm them. I did some research and found that peppermint oil has many uses, uses that I could put into effect.

For deterring mice, simply take three cotton balls and put some oil on them. Once that is finished, simply put the cotton balls in the desired area where your little furry friends like to go. They hate the smell of peppermint and it will keep them away. For spiders, I mix about six drops of peppermint oil to a cup of water and a few drops of Dawn dish soap. I put it into a spray bottle and spray it around my windows, doors, and anywhere else they could get in or frequent. Doing this will leave your home smelling like peppermint, but it is well worth it. I have also read online that this is great to use to deter head lice as well. Simply put some of this into your children’s shampoo or mix with some water and make a quick spritz, and it will help keep those pesky things away. I also like to put this oil on my dryer balls to add a minty smell to my kids’ clothes when they have colds.

I have nearly grazed the many uses of peppermint oil, but there is one thing that is for sure when it comes to this. It is all natural and much safer to use rather than chemicals and cancer causing pesticides.
