Peppermint oil has many positive uses both for around the house as well as for your body. I am a constant migraine sufferer and use peppermint oil on my temples. It helps a lot. I also will smell it too as it is aromatic. This oil has also proven to help with digestion, asthma, and heartburn and much more. It is no wonder why it’s popularity has risen recently. For deterring mice, simply take three cotton balls and put some oil on them. Once that is finished, simply put the cotton balls in the desired area where your little furry friends like to go. They hate the smell of peppermint and it will keep them away. For spiders, I mix about six drops of peppermint oil to a cup of water and a few drops of Dawn dish soap. I put it into a spray bottle and spray it around my windows, doors, and anywhere else they could get in or frequent. Doing this will leave your home smelling like peppermint, but it is well worth it. I have also read online that this is great to use to deter head lice as well. Simply put some of this into your children’s shampoo or mix with some water and make a quick spritz, and it will help keep those pesky things away. I also like to put this oil on my dryer balls to add a minty smell to my kids’ clothes when they have colds.

I have nearly grazed the many uses of peppermint oil, but there is one thing that is for sure when it comes to this. It is all natural and much safer to use rather than chemicals and cancer causing pesticides.
