Having kids in sports or working out in a gym can be very rewarding. The proud moments you have seeing your children succeed or that wonderful feeling as you are making progress towards your fitness goal. One rewards that comes with either of these, is not a pleasant one though, odor.
When you sweat there is a foul odor. You know which one I am talking about. It seems like it is always there even after washing your clothing. Putting them in a separate load by themselves, adding vinegar to the wash just doesn’t cut it. For years, I have dealt with this nasty reward. My son is in many sports and his gym bag literally burns my nose. I wash his things all the time, but I can’t get that stench out. It was literally driving me batty.
I came across the SPORTGUARD. Anything was worth a try at this stage. I literally would keep his gym bag in the laundry room or outside. I washed his things like I normally did. I added some vinegar as usual and his nasty funk was still embedded in his clothing and bag. I took the SPORTGUARD and sprayed his things vigorously. Before I knew it, I noticed the stench was no longer there. Being a skeptic thinking perhaps I have lost my senses due to the burning from the odor, I asked my husband if he smelled anything. He commented that he didn’t. It actually works!
The SPORTGUARD offers antimicrobial protection and is non-toxic. It is fast acting, alcohol and odor free as well. It says it lasts for 30-60 days. Well, I wash my sons things routinely, but the smell hasn’t came back. I do give his things a good spray down weekly though. The bottle has an easy to use spray trigger which distributes the product very nicely on the clothing. Key ingredients include are very vague on this product. It only discloses one particle in the formula which is 3 trihydroxysilyl Propldimethloctadecyl Ammonium Chloride. That is one thing I DON’T like, I am the type of person who likes to know what is in the products I am using in my home.
This product does indeed work, but I would like to see the ingredients. It is very important to disclose this information to consumers. Without having that, I am not sure if I will be using this product again, no matter how wonderful it works.
