Electronics like cell phones, Ipads and laptops are never out of our reach for more than a few seconds. Why because we live such fast paced lives and try to squeeze everything we can into every minute of the day. This is why bags like the Estarer vintage laptop messenger bag are essential to make our lives easier.
Working on the go has become a daily thing for me. The problem is I can never find bags that will hold up to the heavy load I take everywhere. When looking for the right bags I find most of these bags are not made well. I do own other bags from the Estarer brand so I do know whatever bag I choose will be a high quality bag.
Recently when traveling I tried to squeeze my husband and my stuff all into my bag. It did not work so when I saw this bag I was happy to grab this one for him. He has a 17 inch laptop so this one is just the right size. This bag will hold up to a 17.3 inch laptop. No more sharing bag and worry about my work being lost.
Another great thing about this bag is the vintage dark grey look. While the bag states dark grey canvas its more of a rustic grey with just the right amount of fading. This bag is gender neutral with is vintage appeal, but it does not look like a shoulder bag. There are 2 x inner pouch, 3 x Front pocket(one organizer front pocket under the over-flap for your ID card, pen and key), 2 x Side pocket and 1 x Rear pocket. The total dimensions is 18.5 x 13.78 x 5.91 inch.
The front flap of the bag closes with two wide pieces of Velcro. On the flap each of the two compartments have zippers. The first compartment has a 5 ½ inch zippered opening and the pocket is about 6 inches deep. The second compartment on the outer flap has a 12 inch opening and is about 9 inches deep. When the flap is open there is another pocket with a zipper that has a 13 inch opening.
Sewn inside of the back of the pocket is 6 card holders and 2 pencil slots. When I looked inside the main compartment I was surprised at how much room there was. There were two divided pockets one side had two sewn in pockets large enough for a wallet or small note pad. The second pocket closes with an elastic band that Velcro’s shut. On the backside of the bag there is one more pocket with a 10 inch opening and is 6 ½ inches deep. On both sides of the bag are two pockets that can hold a water bottle or even a pop. There are more than enough compartments to hold everything someone would need to be mobile or travel.
The bag had an adjustable strap that is comfortable to wear over my shoulder and I can wear it across my body. The nylon material has a texture which gives the straps strength. It connects to the back with metal hoops for a sturdy connection and will hold up to the weight of the bags contents.
There are a few decorative elements on the bag. These include strips of leather on the top sides of the bag on the upper handle. Then there are the leather pulls on all of the zippers. On the inside of one of the pockets and the brand logo on the front of the bag. On the inside of one of the pockets is a small metal hoop that you can connect a set of keys, headphones or really anything small you want to be able to grab or find quick. There is also a grommet on the front of that same compartment so you can put your headphones through it for easy wearing.
Overall, I found this unisex messenger bag meet all of my expectation and beyond. The actual bag construction is sturdy and shows it will be durable too. Another thing I really like is all the compartments they will help with organizing the bag. While its a gender neutral bag it is not flashy which was a concern for my husband until he seen it did not look like a woman’s bag.
The deep vintage color reminds me of a pair of vintage dark jeans. The canvas is flawless as is the stitching all over the bag. Each of the zippers are all metal and have nice teeth not those little tiny ones that don’t hold up to use. While my husband likes to use the handle, I prefer the shoulder strap. The shoulder strap does distribute the weight of the bags content evenly which makes it comfortable for me to carry.
This bag would make a excellent gift for anyone in your life that is on the go or works on the road. The bag is large enough to fit a lot of material and devices so no need to worry about taking extra bag. I would recommend this bag.
