When it comes to kids, I think it’s pretty safe to say that they all love to play with their food if possible. The more hands on, the better for them. As a parent, I will have to say, I almost cringe sometimes when they play with certain food items. When it comes to a picky eater though, anything works in my opinion. As a mother of five children, I have seen it all. My youngest is quite picky when it comes to eating certain food items. It’s not always the food taste they aren’t wanting to eat, it’s the stigma they have from the look of the food so to speak.

Funbites has the answer for picky eaters with their selection of items. I was sent four of them to check out and test. I was really excited to see how well these would work as well as if it would truly make an impact with my little guy’s pickiness. Each fun bite stencil has two handles, so if you would like to, with supervision of course, you could even have your little one participate in the food preperation with these.

These were quite easy to use. We used them with a veriety of things, mostly sandwhiches and fruit though. I will have to say, the more fresher the bread, it seemed a little more difficult to get the perfect cut out of these. With fruit, I encountered no issues at all. Once we finished, I could see my son was ready to dig in. As we sat for lunch last week, he had a lot of fun telling me about the differnt shapes he was making as well as showed me various animals and such that he was making with his shapes. Once we finished eating our meal, I found that this did impact his eating habits. He ate his whole lunch, which for my son, is a win!

These are top tray, dishwasher safe, however, I was unable to test that as I do not have a dishwasher. I can state that they did wash up easily with mild soap and water. There are a variety of these to choose from and these are sold at Target, Amazon, as well as their website. Cost just depends on where you purchase them.

I think these are a wonderful idea and every parents greatest find when they have a picky eater. These can also be used in dinner parties or birthday parties as well to help make creations. These would make a wonderful gift to just about anyone.
