These wonderful pillar candles are made of plastic. They come in a size of small, medium, and large. They have a fake flame on top of them as well. There was a good eye for detail when it came to these. They take two AA batteries in each candle. Battery area is easily accessible and each pillar candle has a power switch as well. This set comes with a remote control for easy personalization to these candles which is a feature I absolutely love. Colors of these are nice, bright, and rich. The colors really set a mood. You can have them shifting from the different color varieties, or have them stay on a specific color. Whichever you would like to do. There is also an added feature of a timer on these. You can set these to stay on for either four or eight hours and they will power off. Battery life on these is excellent. I can definately appreciate that as one of my concerns was that.
